Marshmallow Peeps

I've always enjoyed those sugary, marshmallow confections called peeps during Easter. Come to find out that peeps are loved by many after watching CBS Sunday program. 1923 - Sam Born the founder of Just Born, a candy company, discovers Amish folks that produced the peeps by hand in PA. He buys it and then the rest is history. Now peeps are produced on a mass scale. Approx. 700 million will be consumed this year! Visit the Just Born website. There is even an artist that creates his work exclusively by using peeps Peep Show, and a documentary that will be out next Easter about the following of the peeps.

Hey Nancy!

I saw that segment, too. I personally don't care to eat Peeps, but it's a facinating product. The Food Channel also had a Peeps segment on one of it's shows. In our culture I guess "Easter" and "Peeps" go together!

Hi Paula:

Yes, I agree they are on the sugary side. I just tried one recently and come to find out my tastes have changed since I was a kid. Well, they are too cute to eat anyways. I will have to check to see if I can find something online on the Peeps segment you mentioned.
