ABOUT THE ILLUSTRATOR

Nancy Miller grew up sketching and drawing to her hearts content. It wasn’t until high school that she learned about the world of illustration. While sneaking into her mother’s art room she came across an old issue of Artist’s Magazine, and read Fred Brenner’s article “Designing and Illustrating Children’s Picture Books,” that she became aware of the field of children’s book illustration. She moved to Savannah, Georgia to attend the Savannah College of Art and Design. Shortly, after receiving her B.F.A. in Illustration she attended the Illustration Academy.

During her career, she has worked as a graphic designer and staff illustrator. Her work has appeared in magazines, newspapers, and a book anthology. Her illustration work has received an honorable mention in the SCBWI Online Illustrators Contest, and was accepted in the Society of L.A. Illustrators West Competition 43. She has also been a Featured Online SCBWI Illustrator.
